Happy Krishna Janmashtami!
Wishing our community joy, peace and prosperity
Sammelani Bangla wishes everyone a very Happy and Blessed Janmashtami — the joyous celebration of Lord Krishna's birth.
Janmashtami marks the appearance of Sri Krishna, the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, born at midnight in Mathura to free the world from tyranny and re-establish dharma. Devotees mark the day with fasting, devotional singing, midnight aartis, and the traditional dressing and swinging of the infant Krishna (Gopal) in a decorated jhulan.
May Lord Krishna's flute call us all toward truth, love and togetherness this Janmashtami. From our Sammelani Bangla family to yours — Jai Shree Krishna!
