Food
Taste of Bengal
Bhog, street snacks, fish curry and mishti — cooked fresh through the festival.
Khichuri bhog
The classic bhog — rice and moong dal slow-cooked with ghee, ginger and whole spices, offered to the Goddess and shared with everyone after the Anjali.
Labra
A slow-cooked medley of pumpkin, potato, aubergine and seasonal greens with panch phoron — the vegetable dish that always accompanies the khichuri bhog.
Luchi & cholar dal
Flaky puffed bread with a lightly sweet Bengal-gram dal simmered with coconut, raisins and warm spices — a festival breakfast favourite.

Volunteers wanted
Help us run the festival
The Puja is run entirely by volunteers. We need helping hands for the kitchen, the stage, decoration, registration desk, kids' corner and clean-up. Any amount of time helps — even a two-hour slot. Students are very welcome and we can provide a volunteering confirmation letter. Get in touch via the contact page and tell us which day and area interests you.
